Get a boss soul (this only works with souls or items that have a yes or no confirmation message to show before using it. Equip it to your item slot (square on ps/ X on xbox). Then when you open up start and go to 'browse and use items'. Make sure this is what you get when you hit start because it's supposed to be done in quick succession.
In the 'browse and use items' make sure estus is first. (This is convenient because you can get more at bonfires).The execution.For Male characters:Equip the boss soul as your primary item to be used when you press square or X.Now execute a parry (L2 / LT)And exactly where the parry ends, in extremely quick succession press - (square start X X on ps) and (X start A A on xbox)Now you should see the estus flask selected and the four options come up as 'use item' 'drop' etc.Select use item.This should trigger a dialog box which wants a Confirmation of whether you wish to use the soul or not. Rolling is more reliable, works for everyone, and the timing isn't tight at all (even with fast roll).select the boss/firekeeper soul, do a roll, and as you get back on your feet, hit the use item and menu button in succession.
Once you're in the menu you can take as much time as you want to use whatever item you please - use the orange soapstone, it can be used everywhere and doesn't get consumed - and when you use it it'll be set as the active item for consumption purposes, while putting you back at the yes/no prompt the boss soul has been waiting in since you got out of the roll.if you see the messages menu coming out of the item menu, you pressed use item too early. If you see the boss soul prompt instead of entering the menu, you pressed the use and menu buttons too late.
Besides that, you can go as slow or fast as you want.edit: the reason this works is because of action queueing. You tell the game to use the boss soul at the end of your roll, so it queues it up for use once it's done with your current animation.
When you go back to neutral, the game will throw up the yes/no prompt and lock you into it.but that yes/no prompt doesn't override the main menus - it'll sit silently behind it, waiting for you to exit the menu before locking you into the yes/no. Normally, this wouldn't be an issue, except that that prompt also counts as being in the middle of using an item, and for some reason dark souls doesn't disable the 'use item' option in the menu while you're in that prompt. So what happens when you try to use a different item from the menu?well, what happens is that dark souls goes 'oh hey we're using this item now' (in this case, the orange soapstone), has you use it, and sets it as the active item. But you're still using the boss soul, and you can't queue up item uses in that yes/no prompt, so the secondary item use just doesn't happen.
But it's still set as the active item, which is what the game consumes when you use a soul item.so basically, you're using the boss soul while the game thinks you're using your orange soapstone/estus/whatever. And thus, the dupe glitch.
Doesn't work with non-confirmation prompt items, because dark souls actually disables the use item menu item then. Doesn't work with cracked orbs because they get consumed on invasion, not use.

But From software will never do it, so we don't worry about it. Also, because matchmaking is sl based and you can go higher than 120 (if you want to find more pvpers) you can't create ond build, which can use many weapons, but with this glitch you can create many new builds (you only need to worry about upgrading materials) without creating new characters.
